Brett Favre

So Brett Favre is coming back for a 20th season. I was really hoping he would just retire this time and stay retired. Don't get me wrong, he was a talented quarterback and still has some talent left, but sometimes you just have to know when its time to hang it up. He is 40 years old and has made it through 19 seasons without a major injury and has made some 300 consecutive starts. Those are some pretty good feats, but its bound to come to an end sometime. Eventually his body will say "no more." I'll admit, he will go down in history as one of the best quarterbacks of all time, which he deserves. I just don't like the guy. I have spent my whole life living in Wisconsin and I'm not a Packer fan. I like the Dolphins myself. So, maybe its all the years of getting Brett Favre this and Brett Favre that getting crammed down my throat by the local media and them making it seem he can walk on water. That was until he signed with the Jets. Now he's considered a traitor to many Packer fans. I considered that bad news because then my team had to play against him twice that year. They got the last laugh, though, when they made the playoffs and the Jets didn't. Anyway, I just wish I had a job where I can leave and then decide a couple months later that I want it back. Then the next year, take off during the summer while I decide if I want it again. I think he's just does it because he likes all the attention he gets from the media. He doesn't need the money, thats for sure. Then again, maybe he just loves playing football and he did take the Vikings to the NFC Championship game last year. He might still have some fight in him, but I think he might be pushing his luck. Sometimes its better to go out in good health than with a career ending injury.

2010 Oshkosh Zombie Walk

I stumbled upon this on Facebook a couple days ago. I'm not sure if I would do it myself, but it sounds like a neat idea. Plus, it sounds like the proceeds go to a good cause. Just click on the link to get more details.
